“Twi on Tuesdays”
Who: The Cultural Links African Language Heritage Series
What: “Twi Tuesdays” (Often called AKAN, Twi is one of the major languages spoken and used in West Africa- specifically by the Akan ethnic group of Ghana. Taught by Osei-Bonsu Safo-Kantanka…one of Ghana’s most revered scholars, researchers, teachers, and journalists! All ages welcome!
When: Tuesday mornings from 8am – 8:50am (Pacific Standard Time)
• March: 2, 9, 16, 23, 30
• April: 6, 13, 27 (no class on 4/20)
• May: 4, 11, 18, 25
Where: Join by March 9th via Eventbrite https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-twi-language-event-registration-140694104855. Classes take place online via Zoom. Link provided upon registration.
Why: To reclaim African heritage through learning the “Mother Tongues”. Nearly 80% of Ghana’s population can speak Asante-Twi…Now you can, too!
